Anti-Climb (Anti-Vandal,
Anti-Burglar, Anti-Intruder or Anti-Scale) Paint
Anti Climb Paint,
which is also sometimes known as anti vandal, anti intruder and anti
scale paint, is a thick glutinous coating, not unlike a thick petroleum
jelly, which never dries. In so doing not only is it extremely slippery
making it very difficult for an intruder to get a good foot hold or grip
but also it is very difficult to remove from clothing so making the
identification of culprits much easier.
Anti-climb
paint is easy to apply with a
stiff brush, trowel or by hand using a protective glove and gives an
appearance that is similar to smooth gloss paint when first applied but it remains slippery
indefinitely so providing an effective yet very economic way of
deterring intruders from entering your property.
NVP's
Anti Climb Paint is a tried and tested high quality
product with
excellent durability. It continues to work in hot or cold weather
conditions adhering to the surfaces to which it is applied.
Anti-Climb Paint can be used on brick, cement, wood, metal,
asbestos cement, roof tiles, plastic and most other building materials.
It is particularly effective on walls, parapets, boundary fences, down
pipes, lamp standards and roofs. It can be used on factory sites, sports
clubs, churches, schools and to protect private properties, garden
sheds etc.
Crime
Prevention Officers recommend anti-climb paint as a valuable method of
protecting
property. The Police know about situations that are at risk from
intruders and their opinion should be sought when considering measures
to be taken to protect property. This type of product makes
straight-forward climbing almost impossible and detection is made easier
when the offender has hands and clothing covered in this tell-tale
product that is difficult to remove.

Product Uses
Our
Anti-Climb Paint is an excellent deterrent. Adventurous children and
potential law -breakers coming into contact with a surface coated with
NVP Anti-Climb Paint will think twice before proceeding. It is
difficult to remove from hands and clothing but is non-toxic. Anyone
coming into contact with NVP Anti-Climb Paint is going to be seriously
contaminated. For this reason surfaces less than 2.0 metres from
ground level should not be coated. Prominent warning signs
are available
(click here) and should be affixed to an adjoining vertical surface so as to be
easily seen and to act as a further deterrent. The
grey version is ideal for coating lead and discouraging its theft from
church roofs etc.
Safety
Handle with care.
Before and during use observe all safety labels on packaging and
containers. If in doubt consult Material Safety Data Sheets and follow
all local or national safety regulations.
Warning
Use only where legitimate
or normal access is not permitted. We strongly recommend that a clear
warning notice is displayed (available from NVP online-shop
in a variety of sizes).
We recommend that it is applied at least 2 metres above ground or normal
access level. Whilst it is not toxic we advise that
care is taken to ensure that it is not put in areas used regularly by
pets. Contact with anti-climb paint may damage clothing
and other fabrics.
