Rainkote

Rainkote Profix (also known as Duram 195) is the ultimate high performance, elastometric, polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing system providing exceptionally high tensile strength and elasticity when cured. It is a single pack moisture curing compound, is self-levelling and cures to form a tough, flexible, seamless membrane with excellent resistance to weathering. The exceptional elasticity coupled with impressive tensile strength and adhesion enable Rainkote Profix to withstand abnormal structural movement, hydrostatic pressure and temperature fluctuation.

ADVANTAGES

• A waterproofing system in a can. Application is simple and quick (by brush, roller, soft broom).
• A built-up system providing a uniform, seamless and jointless membrane
• Ensures complete bonding to the substrate. Damage is contained locally, unlike sheet membranes, by preventing further water travel
• Self flashing, bonding against penetrations, outlets, supports, columns and walls
• Does not harden and embrittle as does bitumen
• Single pack which eliminates mixing measuring and waste
• Bonds to most common building materials when primed including - concrete, masonry brick, fibreglass, wood and metal (including rusted metal) and certain plastics when lightly abraded with medium grit sandpaper
• It does not deteriorate during permanent immersion in fresh or salt water and is chemically resistant to a wide range of acids, solvents and alkalis.
