Duraprime is a two part, water based, epoxy penetrating primer which is supplied at 32% solid. It is recommended for use as a primer with various topcoats, water based epoxies, 100% solid epoxies, and polyurethane coatings. It has excellent adhesion to damp concrete, is fast drying and has low odour making it useful for several industrial applications.
EP90 is a two part universal epoxy primer. Its ideal for use with ferrous metals and galvanised steel where it improves adhesion and reduces sub-film corrosion. Will also provide a sealed and strengthened surface for porous substrates substrates and so providing the necessary moisture barrier for the application of Polyurethanes such as Protectakote and Safekote.
Metcote - This high adhesion metal primer has excellent etching qualities. This quality metal primer is solvent based and contains acids and adhesion promoters that etch the metal surface ensuring excellent adhesion. Metcote Etch Primer is quick drying and can be top-coated with most paints within two hours of application. Metcote is typically applied using a brush or roller.
NS1 Rust Buster is a rust converter and primer that chemically reacts with iron oxides transforming them into a stable compound which can be overcoated. It is ideal for use with Protecta-Kote. The coverage is approximately 12-14 sq metres per litre. You can use Rust Buster to convert rust to a stable compound on a variety of metal surfaces. It neutralises the iron oxides that cause rust and then turns the rust into a solid compound, saves you time, money and labour, quick and easy to apply, non-toxic and when complete, the converted rust is ready to be primed and painted with NVP's range of superior coatings.
Protectakote 2K Metal Primer is a dual component etch primer suitable for getting adhesion of Protectakote to all types of aluminium, stainless steel, galvanised steel and glazed ceramic tiles. It is also suitable for applications involving complete immersion in water.
Xylene is used as the sole thinner for diluting Protectakote. It is also used a preparation product as it can be used to wipe clean the surfaces where protectakote is to be applied.
